The Toronto Comics Arts Festival is coming up next month and Attract Mode is putting on another “Comics Vs Games" art show! All the pieces will be rendered in anaglyph 3D so, if you’re lucky enough to go in person, you’ll get to see these prints in all their eye-popping, depth-having glory. Or maybe you have some red/cyan glasses at home and can just look at your computer screen (and make your eyes see in different color temperatures after staring through them for too long…)
This piece is called “A Snake Between Worlds.” When Attract Mode told me about the idea for this show, I was still hot off playing the latest Zelda game on 3DS, but figured too many people might go down that road in a more stylish fashion. Instead, I thought of other franchises that might benefit from that wall-flattening mechanic. It ended up being some kind of weird, mashed-up nightmare Solid might have had after playing too much A Link Between Worlds.
There are some really great submissions this year. A few of them have been rounded up on this Polygon post.
You can also keep tabs on the other pieces by checking out their Facebook Event Page.
